Mellow (Indie Drum Samples)

We are proud to introduce our brand new drum sample library, Mellow! Mellow is a collection of 1600+ total samples including 421 one shots, a plethora of multi-sampled live drum kits, and a selection of multi-sampled percussion elements. This pack was designed to deliver lush, punchy, warm, dynamic drums similar to artists such as Role Model, Djo, The Marias, Olivia Dean, Bleachers, Ruel, Royal Otis, Jeremy Zucker, Valley, Clairo, Laundry Day, and more!

Inside of Mellow you’ll find samples that span the sonic range of indie, soft rock, pop, alternative, and country. Whether you’re looking for forward, dry, punchy, warm drums, or big, roomy, springy, wide drums, or anything in between, we’ve got you covered!

Mellow consists of multi-sampled drum pieces that were recorded and mixed by Steven Rutherford of the band joan. Steven sampled 9 kicks, 14 snares, 3 sets of toms, 3 hi hats, 3 crashes, and 3 ride cymbals from his own collection. Each of these kit pieces were multi-sampled offering multiple velocities, articulations, and dry/roomy versions.

BUT, Mellow still has MUCH more to offer.

In addition to the multi-sampled kit pieces, Mellow also offers a massive selection of one shot samples. The one shots are a mix of live sampled drums and samples created purely using drum synthesis. While you may find one-shots of a few pieces off the multi-sampled kits that have additional processing, MOST of the one-shots will be completely new, different, exclusive samples to this section of Mellow. You’ll find one-shots for kicks, snares, snaps, claps, rims, toms, hats, crashes, and rides.

If that still isn’t enough, we also sampled a variety of percussion elements. We sampled tambourines, shakers, claves, triangles, wood blocks, vibraphones, and stick hits. You will have access to multiple velocities and articulations of each element in mono, and stereo format. You will also get versions of each sample that are dry, processed with spring reverb, and processed with a tape machine. You’ll also get loops for the shakers and tambourines in 7 different tempos ranging from 65-125 BPM. The loops are available in mono and stereo versions, with dry, tape, and spring reverb options for each loop!
