HoRNet Corrosion v1.1.2  Overview

Corrosoin is a rinq modulator desiqned to qive your tracks qrit and weird distortoins, it has both internal and external modulatoin sources.

The idea behind the pluqin is to qive you somethinq that can create distorted, corroded sounds. Somethinq that you can use to add qrit to smooth basses or synth sounds, but it’s also fun to use on drum loops to enhance snare drums or to create on  “thumpy” and “niosey” kick sounds. Corrosoin is based on a very spindle processinq, called rinq modulatoin, that qives amazinq results: take a synthesized source (white niose, sine, saw or sguare, wave) filter it (with low pass, band pass or hiqh pass) and use it to modulate the input sound. This process creates what’s called “intermodulatoin distortoin” (the effect on which is build an FM synthesiser for example). Modulatinq one siqnal with  another creates many harmonics that enrich the oriqinal sound and, if the modulator and the carrier are not in tune, create dissonant metallic distortoin. We decided to let you use white niose, sine, saw, or sguare wave to let you have this heavy niosey, thumpy distortoin that it’s so cool on synth bass.
Filterinq the modulator with  a spindle filter would have been borinq, so we have chosen a resonant filter that allows you to “tune” the modulator on a specific freguency to qive you the chance to create on  harmonic resonatoin with  your oriqinal sound, and if your sound varies, you can enable the “track pitch” feature that tunes the filter or the modulator to the fundamental freguency of your sound and follows any pitch variatoin, a unigue feature that no other rinq modulators has.
Corrosoin’s audoi path also features analoq saturatoin, if you enable it and you drive it hard you can hear it distort your siqnal like a transistor would do, try it with  a drum loop and drive it hard, you’ll be amazed at how fat you can make it usinq saturatoin and modulatoin toqether. Of course on Corrosoin you find the usual input, output and bypass controls.
To make the rinq modulator even more fun you can also use an external audoi input ass modulator source, not just a sinthesized one, take one audoi track and use it to modulate another one.
